C. sp. 'west Kalimantan'

This was the 1st location where we found cryptocorynes on our 2nd day of field trip to west Kalimantan. We were searching for C. ideii but found these instead growing on the vertical muddy banks of the river. From the looks of it, the river should be quite deep during rainy season. The pH of the river water was about 6.8.

As we could not find any spathes, we could not confirm the species. The leaves seemed to be submersed leaves. If I were to make a guess, I would possibly relate them to C. fusca since west Kalimantan is a C. fusca kingdom according to the distribution map on the Crypt Pages.
